Artie is just a typical scrawny teenager who feels awkward most of the time and who gets bullied a lot by his fellow students. He lacks the self-confidence to believe in himself and uses his sarcastic wit and crativity to get out of any situation that hints at responsability, making him an exceptional underachiever at almost everything he attempts to do. However, he is good and kind-hearted, and in the end he accepts the responsibilites life has given him.
